Insurance Accident Repairs Made Easy

Had an accident? Dealing with insurance can be stressful, but we’re here to help.

At Bacich Smash Repairs, we guide customers through the repair process, assist with insurance claims and keep them informed every step of the way.

Whether it’s minor accident damage or major collision repairs, our experienced team is here to get their vehicle back on the road safely.

Four straightforward steps from the first call to the finished repair.

  1. 1

    Call or send photos

Phone the workshop or send through clear photos of the damage.

  2. 2

    Bacich assesses the vehicle

The vehicle is inspected and a written quotation is prepared. There is no charge for a quote.

  3. 3

The quote goes to your insurer

If you are claiming, Bacich sends the quote to your insurer for approval and handles the paperwork.

  4. 4

    The repair is booked in

Once approved, the repair is scheduled and you are told how long it will take and what to expect.

What to bring: your insurance details, your claim number if you have one, and the vehicle. If you are unsure whether to claim, bring it in for a quote first and decide from there.

Working with insurers

Bacich Smash Repairs works directly with insurers on claims. The team handles the claim paperwork, prepares the assessment and quotation, and takes on insurance rectification work, which means correcting repairs that were not done properly elsewhere.

All repairs are subject to vehicle inspection, assessment and quotation. Insurance repairs are subject to insurer approval and policy conditions.

Questions about smash repairs

Straight answers to the questions customers ask most after an accident.

Can I choose my own repairer?

In Western Australia, yes in most cases. Many policies allow you to nominate your own repairer, though some restrict you to the insurer's network, so it is worth checking your policy.

Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes. Bacich Smash Repairs works directly with insurers on claims, including assessments, quotations and the claim paperwork.

How do I get a quote?

Bring the vehicle in for an assessment, or send through photos of the damage to start the process. Quotes are free.

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the damage, parts availability and, for insurance work, how quickly the claim is approved. You are given a timeframe when the repair is booked in.

What is insurance rectification?

Correcting a repair that was not done properly the first time, usually by another workshop. Bacich takes on rectification work and can assess whether a previous repair meets standard.

Will the new paint match the rest of my car?

Yes. Paint is colour matched to the vehicle's existing finish, which accounts for the way paint ages and changes with sun exposure. Matching is done by eye and by measurement, not just from the factory paint code.

Is it worth claiming on insurance for a small dent or scratch?

Not always. If the repair cost is close to your excess, paying privately may work out better and keeps your claims history clean. Bacich will quote either way so you can decide.

Do you repair structural damage?

Yes. Structural and chassis repairs are carried out alongside panel and paint work, so a vehicle with underlying damage does not need to go to a second workshop.

Do you do fleet and commercial work?

Yes. Bacich works with fleet operators, businesses, government and council on vehicle repairs.
